I was chatting with a group of colleagues as I dipped my sliced grapefruit into a dish of raw hemp seeds and savored every delectable bite. "What the heck are you eating?" one of them asked.
"Hemp seeds," I answered.
"What the hell? You can't do that here!" he said.
I busted out laughing, much to his chagrin.
After letting him rant and question me for just long enough to be amusing, I replied, "I'm not getting high! There's only trace amounts of THC in hemp seeds...not enough to affect you." The conversation went on from there, of course, but it made me think of how many misconceptions there are about the wonder-plant, as I like to call it.
